Chris Dawson is the Principal Consultant and founder of R. Alliance LLC, a coaching and management consulting firm specializing in learning and development. R. Alliance works with individuals and organizations who want to elevate their performance and capitalize on their strengths to achieve exemplary results. With a suite of coaching, learning programs and consulting services to draw from, R. Alliance partners closely with clients to understand their specific needs and circumstances before delivering a customized solution.
Chris has over 15 years experience in corporate Human Resources functions. Working for Fortune 100 and FTSE 100 companies has given her the opportunity to spearhead change management and leadership development initiatives on a global scale. Prior to starting R. Alliance, she has delivered results in a number of organizational structures including a matrixed organization with remote management in her most recent roles as Director of Leadership Development and Learning & Development respectively. Her previous employers also include a quasi-government/not for profit organization. This diverse background cultivated Chris’ ability to understand business challenges and the needs of individuals at various levels in many types of organizations, bringing a broad, comprehensive perspective to her consulting and coaching practice.
Her corporate credentials have also given her the capability to implement proven solutions to address these challenges. To her credit Chris has successfully designed and established the training and development function within organizations, defined corporate learning curriculum, led large scale change management initiatives, and overseen the launch of management and leadership development programs. She has worked one on one with leaders to build their personal insight and sharpen their aptitudes by providing coaching and leveraging a variety of assessment tools to assemble individual development plans and support continued growth.
A native of New York, Chris earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Pace University in 1991 as well as a Masters Degree in Human Resources Education from Fordham University in 1998. She has continued to pursue her passion for individual development with targeted study in Human Performance Improvement from the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and a certificate in coaching from Coach Training Alliance. A short time ago she began pursuing a Masters in Executive Coaching. Chris is a member of the International Coach Federation and ASTD. An avid sports fan, she currently resides near Richmond, VA.
